How to Keep an Organized Agenda for School

With summer break coming to an end fast, you're surely already preparing for back-to-school so you can begin the new year with the right foot forward. Keeping an agenda, for instance, can be great for that purpose since it'll help you manage your time and stay on top of your different responsibilities. However, for it to work effectively, it needs to be organized. For tips on how to do just that, continue reading.
  1. For starters, take your agenda with you everywhere. Keep it in your backpack so you can have it handy whenever you need to write down an assignment or event.
  2. It's a good idea to create a system to make your agenda more organized and reliable. For instance, use stickers or color-coordinate your activities to get a better visual of what you have to do.
  3. An important thing to keep in mind is that you should write down every homework, test, and event (social, academic or other) in your agenda. Plus, write down big school projects on the day assigned and on their due date so you don't forget about them.
  4. If you need to add in more information on an assignment/event or need to set up a reminder, use sticky notes to make them stand out and to avoid cluttering your agenda.
  5. Updating your agenda on a daily basis will help keep it relevant and reliable. For instance, you can cross off things once you're done with them to avoid confusion.
  6. Finally, make sure to use your agenda! Create the habit of checking it everyday so you can start keeping up with your responsibilities and managing your time better.
