Now that your child is returning to school, you will return to the same old routine of trying to get them out of bed in the morning. If you struggle with this, the following post can share some tips on how to get them out of bed.

How to Get Your Child Out of Bed

Follow a Routine

Following a routine and keeping healthy sleeping habits will help your child have an easier time waking up in the mornings. To that end:
  1. Teach your child about the importance of sleeping, so they're eager to follow the routine.
  2. Set and follow a sleeping-waking up schedule (even on weekends).
  3. Restrict the use of screen before bed.
  4. Provide a comfy sleeping environment.
  5. Get their school supplies ready before bed.
  6. Create a bedtime routine (eating, washing up, changing, reading, etc.).

Get Them Up and Ready

There are a few methods you can employ to motivate your child to get up and get ready for school. You can try setting an alarm clock, making their favorite breakfast, singing songs to them, and more. Find the most effective method for your child.

Provide Incentives

Lastly, if your child needs extra motivation, you can provide incentives. For example, if they go to sleep on time and they're ready for breakfast for a week straight, you can promise to take them to the park on the weekend.
